Once we receive your application, it will go to a committee for review. Exchange will notify you when a decision has been made on your application and provide you with some next steps.
Who is Eligible?
In order to qualify, students must:
- Be a current undergraduate student at UW
- Have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at UW
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- Submit two letters of recommendation (1 academic, 1 personal)
- Submit a 500 word personal statement of interest
- Pay the $80 exchange application fee at UW Student Central
- Possess adequate proficiency in the relevant language in order to undertake courses on an exchange if the language of instruction at the partner university is not English.
Deadlines
The deadlines to consider when applying for an exchange program:
- Fall/Winter/Spring - February 15
Note: Not all universities offer exchange programs in the Spring and Summer session, so choices may be limited. Also, terms may not align with the terms at UW.
Please note: If you are planning on applying for the Tours exchange, please speak with Modern Language Department regarding a language assessment prior to the application deadline.
